MODELS, STREETSTYLE, BEAUTY & SMILES IN THE CONCRETE JUNGLES OF NYC AND BEYOND
"Beauty may capture this photographer's attention, but personality will always steal this man's heart."
Bonae L'amour features mostly photos of high fashion models in the streets, on the runways, or backstage. This is the cult go-to blog for raw inspirations for the models, beauty, streetstyle, and fashion obsessed. [more info]
I am a lover of vibrant and lively colors, but many times, stories are more powerful in black and white. A Moment Named Desire is my collection of photo essays on fashion, culture, and entertainment in different shades of grey.
Disclaimer: The images you see here are not photoshopped because true beauty does not need manipulation. There is no one concrete standardized perception of beauty. This is a visual and written journal of a diverse spectrum of beauties, personalities, and styles.
What factors make a model? Her Amazonian height? Her chicness? Her effortless sense of style? Her access to designer’s clothes? Her collection of the hottest purses? Her fierceness? Her attitude? Her personality? Her presence? Her photogenic superpower? Everything combined? Or just that natural “it” factor?
Take a look at The Model Factor to see if you can come up with a formula that can explain my passion and fascination, or as some may label as obsession, with photographing the runway queens… Who will be the queen each day? Stick around to find out.
After Gucci SS 2012 in Milan, I spotted the friendly Joan in this Givenchy rottweiler button-up shirt. I have seen the shirt on the runway and on the guys many times before, but it has become even more desirable now because of Joan’s street style, which is a must-watch each season. That is the funny thing about menswear pieces… The ladies look good and many times even better in them! Love! <3
Anna Zanovello (in) After C’N’C Costume National SS 2012
Meet Anna Z, the Italian newcomer who opened Altuzarra SS 2012 in New York! I actually have not gotten a chance to talk to her, but everyone from agents to acquaintances have been telling me this is a girl who has a lot of depth! She is also a ballerina who has studied at the famous Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet Academy. There is definitely a delicate and graceful quality about her!
After Jil Sander SS 2012, Hanne chose to dress tomboy cool. Many people have said that Hanne’s outfit was best matched with the yellow cap, do you agree?

After Gucci SS 2012, Shu Pei came out wearing this yellow sweater. I was in love because we were matching! Haha! <3

After Blugirl SS 2012, Andie was actually the first model that wore the yellow cap. She is a very charming and sweet person. While snapping her photos, the thought of adding some fun into the mix randomly came up. I asked Andie, and she graciously accepted. What makes this photo great is the fact that Andie has a great sense of humor! <3

After Dsquared2 SS 2012, Ginta was a G! Lol! Call me crazy but this is just perfect from top to bottom, mixing high and low fashion with sportswear. And Ginta’s attitude made it even more perfect! Absolutely adorable!
And I am not even surprised that all of the models in the yellow cap look so much better than me wearing my cap… =) *sighs*
