Lily was recently removed from the MDC’s Top 50 list because Lily is already pretty established but isn’t considered iconic enough (yet) and room needed to be made for newcomers and fresher and more active faces. The same situation happened with Jessica Stam, Caroline Trentini, and Coco Rocha. Lists are always subjective, bias, and never 100% fair anyway. To me, the beautiful Miss Donaldson will always be in a whole category of her own that no list can ever certify.
At the end of the day, as long as my favorite models are happy and healthy, still working and catwalking, and making money even though they are not as hyped or receiving all the top recognitions, I will be supportive until the very end. That is why I keep this blog, to provide images and discussions of relevant top working models, models I consider iconic in their own rights, underrated models, new faces that are hyped, new faces that are not hyped and not getting as much attention as their counterparts, models with great styles and attitudes, forgotten, neglected, or under-appreciated catwalking queens and beauties, and most of all models with good senses of humor, charm, personality, and grace. And of course, simply women I genuinely adore whether they are at the top of the game or not. Appreciation is appreciation… =)
